Hi, I’m Kara – The designer and baker behind Belle Velvet Cakes. I chose this name Belle — short for beautiful. I specialize in Whimsical, vintage-inspired Buttercream cakes that blend nostalgic charm with elegance. 

My love for baking began with the inspiration of my grandmother. I spent years admiring her talent as she transformed buttercream into stunning works of art. While my cakes are a reflection of my own style, that childhood sense of wonder is baked into everything I create. I’ve taken those timeless lessons and paired them with a deep commitment to my craft. 

When I’m not baking, I cherish time with my husband and son. I have a love for anything creative – whether I’m tending to my garden, lost in a crochet project, or experimenting with new recipes.

Beyond the design, I am dedicated to the integrity of my cakes. I focus exclusively on my signature recipes to ensure every cake is as delicious as it is beautiful. I pour my heart and intention with every detail, using the finest traditional ingredients to create a centerpiece that everyone can celebrate with.
